On Saturday, May 28th the 2011 Champions League Final will take place in London’s Wembley stadium. If you’re one of the football fans going to see Manchester United take on Barcelona, keep in mind that there’s plenty to see and do in town before and after the game. Without a doubt, the Champions League Final is the highlight of the European football season. As the final approaches, large numbers of football fans will head to London where the all-important match will be held in the famous Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 28th. When travelling to Wembley Stadium, there are lots of great public transport options for you to use. You can catch the Jubilee or Metropolitan line of the Tube as far as the Wembley Park station, or you can hop on a number 18, 83, 92 or 224 bus.

In the run-up to the final, there’ll be lots of football-related things to do in London including a trip to the UEFA Champions Festival. Taking place in Hyde Park, one of the most popular parks in London, this festival is set to run from Saturday, May 21st up until the final. Visitors can enjoy plenty of free attractions and activities including the ‘Museum of Champions’ which features cool exhibits detailing the history of the competition. While there, you can also meet legendary players, take part in football skills clinics or even get your photo taken with the Champions League trophy.

Opening times for the UEFA Champions Festival are as follows: Sat 21st-Sun 22nd noon-10.30pm, Mon 23rd-Thurs 26th noon-8pm, Fri 27th noon-10.30pm and Sat 28th 9am-5pm. The best way to get to Hyde Park is take the Tube to the Marble Arch station.
